¨ Please remember all tags are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

¨ Only residents of their segments can buy their respective Unit tags when selling at their locations. (Example: Only residents of Mandaree segment can purchase Unit 1 tags on October 9, 2019 from 1:00pm-5:00pm at the Elder's Meal Site in Mandaree) Need to present photo ID with current physical address to verify residency.

¨ If you wish to purchase a deer gun tag for a segment in which you are not a resident, don’t worry! The TAT Fish & Wildlife Department will have a separate amount of tags set aside to sell at the New Town F&W Office on October 11, 2019. All Units (1-4) will be available on this date. (TAT Members who DO NOT reside on the reservation are encouraged to mail-in a 2019 TAT Member Deer Gun Application. This is also processed as a first-recieved, first-served basis)

¨ Persons who are purchasing for others are limited to purchasing 5 (including their own). A 2019 Deer Gun Application must be filled out for the absentee hunter prior to purchasing their license along with a photo copy of their ID and Hunter Education Certificate card (if applicable).

¨ A 2019 Request for Designated Shooter form must be filled out for all designated hunters for TAT Elders.

¨ Elders requesting a designated shooter will receive an antlerless tag only. Keep in mind that there is a limited number of doe tags per segment and this is sold as a first-come, first-serve basis as well.

¨ Designated hunter may only be assigned to one elder.

¨ Will accept payments in cash or money order ONLY. No Checks!!.

¨ Persons born after December 31, 1961 must present their hunter education certification card to purchase a deer gun license. EXCEPTIONS: Veterans of the United States Armed Forces that have been honorably discharged – persons applying for this exemption MUST present a copy of form DD214 to be eligible.

¨ Any persons with incomplete 2018 Deer Gun Hunter Questionnaires/Harvest Reports will be charged an additional $20.00 fee.

 

NON-MEMBER RESIDENT tags will be sold on October 14, 2019 at the Fish & Wildlife office starting at 8:00AM until sold out. Will be sold first-come, first-served. Must be present to purchase. Need to present valid North Dakota State ID with current physical address to verify residency. Six months residency is required.

Moose and Elk Raffle tickets go on sale August 1, 2019.

ELK SEASON:

Persons eligible to participate in the Elk season are: Tribal members and Non-members.

Two pools for the Elk raffle will be available. The first raffle is for Tribal members only. The second raffle will be open to all.

Chance raffle tickets will be sold at the Fish & Wildlife Office in New Town at the cost of $10.00 per chance. The raffle ticket fee is non-refundable. Four permits (2 Bull & 2 Cow) will be issued after the recipients are determined by the random draw of tickets. Applicants may only be drawn once. Drawing to determine successful applicants will be held at the Fish & Wildlife office on September 13, 2019 at 12:00PM. Raffle ticket sales will close one hour before (11:00am) the drawing.

The Tribal Elk Permit will cost $150.00 per tag for Tribal members and $500.00 per tag for Non-members.  This is payable to the Fish & Wildlife Office when you have drawn a winning ticket. A completed application and full payment must be received prior to issuance.

Failure to attend classes without notifying the instructor will result in losing the opportunity to enroll in another class for one year. You may not enroll in more than one course at a time.
