The Fort Berthold Indian Reservation offers a variety of terrains that allow for excellent wildlife viewing and hunting. Members and Non-Members can partake in the numerous game seasons the TAT Fish & Wildlife Division has to offer.

 
 

small game

Interested in hunting sharp-tailed grouse, ring-necked pheasants, mourning doves, tree squirrels or Hungarian partridges? Click here for more information on hunting these small game species and more.

 

turkey

The 2024 Spring Turkey Season opens April 6, 2024 and closes May 19, 2024. The 2024 Fall Turkey opens October 5, 2024 and closes January 5, 2025. The season is open to Members and Non-Members. Applications can be filled out at our office or found online here and mailed in.


furbearer

Interested in hunting or trapping specific furbearer species? Find more information here for beaver, muskrat, mink, bobcat, coyote weasel, fox, raccoon, badger, and mountain lions.

 

pronghorn

The following information is tentative pending the TBC approval of the 2024 Pronghorn Proclamation:

The 2024 Pronghorn Season is open to TAT Enrolled Tribal Members. Raffle tickets for these tags will be sold at the Fish & Wildlife Office. The Pronghorn season runs from September 27, 2024 through October 20, 2024.

The following information is tentative pending TBC approval of 2024 Deer Gun & 2024 Deer Bow Proclamations:

The 2024 Deer Gun Season runs from November 8, 2024 to December 1, 2024. For more information on the 2024 Deer Gun season and how to apply click here.

Tags for the 2024 Deer Bow Season can be purchased on or after July 1, 2024. All tags will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information about the 2024 Deer Bow Season click here.

 

moose

The following information is tentative pending the TBC approval of the 2024 Moose Proclamation:

The 2024 Moose Season is open to TAT Enrolled Tribal Members. Raffle tickets for these tags will be sold at the Fish & Wildlife Office. The Moose season runs from October 11, 2024 through November 3, 2024.
