Only the designated hunter may fill a permit issued in such a manner.

TAT Enrolled Members who reside on the reservation: Deer Gun in-person sales will be the first full week in October — first selling to segment community members (must reside in the segment from which you are purchasing), then selling to enrolled members who wish to hunt in a segment in which they do not reside may only purchase that Friday. All TAT members will be able to purchase tags online that Friday of sales week. Tribal members who reside on the reservation are not eligible to apply through mail-in applications

TAT Enrolled members who do NOT reside on the reservation: May apply online or in-person on the Friday of the week tags go on sale. Mail-in applications can be mailed in and postmarked no sooner than one week before in-person sales begin (September 30, 2024). Persons who do not reside on the reservation are not eligible to purchase tags in segments.

Spouses of Enrolled Members: Spouse tags will go on sale and will be available at the same dates, times, and locations as the TAT Enrolled Members. CHANGE OF STATUS MUST BE DONE BY SEPTEMBER 30, 2024 IF PLANNING TO PURCHASE 2024 DEER GUN SPOUSE TAGS - we will not be processing Spouse of Enrolled Members Change of Status forms while selling in communities!

Non-Members who reside within the boundaries of the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation: Tags for Non-Member Residents will go on sale Tuesday, October 15, 2024, starting at 8:00 AM. Only a small number of tags are available — these are sold on a first-come-first-serve basis. One tag per person in line. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Non-Member Non-Residents: Non-Member Non-Residents interested in deer gun tags are to get on our call-in waiting list. Non-Member Non-Residents call into our office on the first business day in March every year starting at 8:00 AM. There is no guarantee that there will be a Non-Member season on any given year — if a season is proclaimed, we call the first set number of callers equivalent to the amount of tags approved.
