Hunting - Moose

Please keep this in mind when looking for the appropriate fees:

•A Member of the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation is one who is enrolled in the Three Affiliated Tribes.

•A Spouse of Enrolled Member is one who is not an enrolled member of the Three Affiliated Tribes but is legally married to an enrolled member of the Three Affiliated Tribes.

•A Non-Member Resident refers to those living within the boundaries of the reservation but are not enrolled in the Three Affiliated Tribes.

•A Non-Member Non-Resident is one who is neither an enrolled member of the Three Affiliated Tribes nor lives within the boundaries of the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation.


Moose Season

The 2025 Moose Season is from October 10, 2025 - November 2, 2025. 

Persons eligible to participate in the Moose season are TAT Enrolled Members.

Raffle chances can be purchased online or in person at our Game & Fish Office in New Town at the cost of $10.00 per chance. Purchasers may purchase as many chances as they would like. The raffle chance fee is non-refundable. Sales for raffle chances close Friday, September 12, 2025. Permits will be issued after the recipients are selected through a random draw using our online licensing system. Raffle draw winners will be notified by email if they are successful on Saturday, September 13, 2025.

The Tribal Moose Permit will cost $150.00 per tag for Tribal members. This is payable to the Fish & Wildlife Office when you have drawn a winning ticket. A completed application and full payment must be received prior to issuance.

Persons who receive a Moose permit through the raffle draw shall not be eligible to apply for any moose seasons for three subsequent years.
